Our 2020 Grand Rouge allures with swirls of chocolate drizzled coconut macaroons, shaved cedar, and rosemary toast giving way to an enticingly supple palate with impressions of graham cracker, ripe cherries and baking cocoa, all softly laying upon decadently layered tannins.
In some vintages, we can have intense heat waves in August, which leads to the grapes ripening from dehydration instead of natural sugar development. This can translate into unwanted raisin character in the finished wine. 2020, however proved to be an ideal year for our vineyards with a long, moderate ripening phase, allowing the fruit to sweeten up without any major heat waves. Along with our best Temecula Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc vineyards, this vintage was perfected with the addition of the incredibly intense San Ignacio Vineyard Cabernet.

Our 2019 Reserve Petite Sirah is a blend of two Petite Sirah vineyards— Each bringing different, yet equally important aspects to the final blend. Our Sage vineyard tends to accentuate black pepper and earthy/leathery notes, while our “Valley Floor” vineyard offer more dark fruit notes, completing the picture with intense pigment and blackberry character. The wine was aged in French oak, which helps accentuate the fruit and floral notes, while diminishing the toasty, smokey notes and rough tannin typically found in American oak barrels.

Intensity juxtaposed with elegance aptly describes our 2019 Reserve Merlot. Delicate flourishes of rose petal and fennel counterbalanced with deep notes of clove and strawberry preserves wrap together the supple, yet firm tannins.

Deep violet in color, our 2019 Reserve Malbec opens with an inviting perfume of berry preserve, fennel and cedar, delving into a darker core of ripe black plum and black pepper, with toasted oak framing the present yet forgiving tannins riding across an extended finish.
