2007 Tempranillo

Ripe red plums, vanilla, and a hint of tobacco top the list of fun flavors in our easy-drinking 2007 Tempranillo. Pairs nicely with a variety of foods including marinated mushrooms, olives, prawns, and grilled or roast lamb.

Winemaker Notes
Tempranillo's Spanish heritage make it an ideal warm-climate grape for Southern California. With unique spicy/earthy flavors and a tendency to be a brick-red color rather than ruby-red like most wines, this varietal has a character all its own. We added 15% Syrah to boost berry flavors, structure, finish, and stability.
