2006 Merlot

Spicier than most Merlots, with hints of black pepper, anise, and ginger surrounded by ripe raspberries and red plum, this vintage is smooth and pleasant. Quite versatile in food pairings, it serves nicely with poultry, red meat, pork, pastas, and salads.
