2005 Petite Sirah - Wine Club Only

Our 2005 Five Oaks Vineyard Petite Sirah bursts brightly with black cherry & berries, then follows with a lengthy spicy plum-cedar finish. Full, smooth tannins from 26 months of barrel aging yield a wine that is pleasant now, but will also age nicely through 2010 and beyond.

Winemaker Notes
The grapes for the Petite Sirah came from a family member’s vineyard in Paso Robles, CA. This vintage ended up being very moderate in alcohol and therefore pairs very nicely with food. It also was aged for an extended period of time in a combination of French and American oak barrels (25 months) so it has an added degree of complexity and is quite smooth.
