Shannon Osier and Chris Nesbit - Married May 2, 2009

How did you and Chris meet?
Chris and I met at work.  I was new and he was the super friendly, funny guy...how could I resist?  We have since moved on and no longer see each other at work, but are happy we did for a short time :

How did the proposal happen?
It was the 4th of July 2008.  We had plans to take our dogs to the dog park and then run some errands.  Little did I know that while we were at the dog park, Chris had his friend come into our home, set up some Champagne, flowers, candles and music, so they would be ready when we got home.  As we walked in the door from the dog park, the first thing I heard was loud music playing, Michael Buble, but it still scared me!  I thought someone was in our house.  Then I noticed the flowers & champagne.  I turned around and saw Chris on his knee.  We both ended up crying, but it was the best surprise ever!

What made you choose Wiens?
We knew we wanted a destination wedding in the United States.  Eventually, we narrowed down the idea of a vineyard.  We really did not have a preference of where and researched over 100 vineyards across the US.  Wiens was hands down the most responsive and friendliest to deal with.  I had such a great feeling about Wiens and knew I could trust you!  I planned everything virtually and had never been to Wiens.  We knew we would be happy, as we were treated very well and the photos online were beautiful.  However, we were thrilled when we finally arrived to find that Wiens more than exceeded our expectations!

Wedding Details

What made your wedding unique?
I think our friends and family are quite unique, but I suppose what stands out the most is I chose every vendor without ever meeting anyone in person, sampling any food or seeing samples.  I truly picked vendors based off how I was treated and everything turned out perfect!

What were your flowers/colors?
Our colors were black and white, with purple accents.  Our flowers consisted of dark purple tulips, light purple roses, white lisianthus and lilacs.

What was your dress?
My dress was strapless, ball gown style in diamond white.  There was great beadwork on the top portion.  I also changed into a white cocktail dress later in the evening for party time!

What was your favorite part of the day?
When we were introduced as Mr & Mrs Nesbit for the first time :)

A big thank you to Wiens for treating us so great!  You helped us through all the planning and took care of everything the days leading up to the wedding, as well as the day of!
