Swirls of fresh herbs and licorice entice the senses while gently flowing into a seductively lush core of brown spice, raspberry, and black currant. Typical of the variety, notes of earth and invitingly supple tannins lengthen the finish.
Our 2015 Tempranillo was grown in the rocky hills of Sage, just east of the Temecula Valley. This area is slightly higher in elevation with well drained and low nutrient soil. This requires the vines to struggle a little more than valley floor fruit, producing smaller, more concentrated berries....perfect for a big red! We further enhanced the structure with the adition of a bold Petite Sirah, making this wine full, yet still refined.
