Our 2013 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon overflows with decadent aromas of juicy black plum, German chocolate cake and charred pine with an intensely concentrated palate, dripping with dark fruit, amaretto and dark roast coffee alongside elegant, round tannins framing the lengthy finish.
2013 proved to be an exceptional vintage, not only for our esteemed La Cresta vineyards, but also some of our smaller Cabernet blocks in the valley floor. This allowed us to blend a higher percentage of vineyards throughout the appellation together to create our final blend for our 2013 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, making this vintage big, bold and intriguingly complex. Petit Verdot, known for brighter fruit, darker color and fresh herbal notes was used in the final blend to add further depth, while 22 months of aging in French and Eastern European oak adds interesting anise and cedar notes, that integrate seamlessly in the finished wine.
