After Hours Holiday Reception

If you're looking to catch the holiday spirit this season, stop by Wiens Family Cellars on December 5th for a cozy evening of live music, appetizers, and wine tasting. 

We will have our gift shop decked out with festive items just in time for the holidays including gift baskets, decorations, and our newly released holiday magnum, ‘Merry'tage. 

Entrance to this event is just $5.

New Year's Eve Celebration

Get ready to celebrate the New Year in Wiens Family Cellars style with amazing food, great wine, and entertainment that will knock your legwarmers off.  Join us for a luxurious menu featuring prime rib, king crab legs, and chocolate velvet butter cake with whipped Grand Marnier mascarpone mousse.  A live 80's cover band will keep you dancing in the event pavilion and DJ Gabe Real will spin at Club Vine in the barrel room.  Tickets: $160, $140 Wine Club

2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve - To Be Released November 1st
Dark flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and black currant are all present in our 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. It also has the very modest herbal hint as you'll find in the revered, balanced, most complex Cabs. Do you enjoy herb-spiced foods? This wine will literally dance with entrees prepared using rosemary, sage, black pepper, thyme, saffron and more. Experiment!

2004 Reserve Syrah - Released October 20th
Aged for 34 months in European and American oak barrels to be silky smooth, our 2004 Reserve Syrah stands tall with rich, firm tannins; and flourishes with flavors of black cherry, cinnamon, cloves, and plum. This wine pairs nicely with grilled vegetables, richly flavored meats, or wild game.

Our “Merry”tage Holiday Blend was created by 34 of our wine club members working with our winemaker, Doug Wiens, at a blending party in July.  We broke into 9 groups, each team experimenting until they found their favorite concoction, then all came to concurrence by averaging together the results of each group.  We're sure you'll agree that the “consensus blend” is indeed grand… a smooth, pleasant, fruity, slightly spicy Bordeaux-style wine that will pair well with a wide variety of holiday dishes.  Cheers and happy holidays to all!
